Service Description

Support Animals Welcome - but please let Clare know if you are bringing a well behaved support animal/pet with you at the time of your booking. The Empower Counselling Hut 22 Bonfield Park Strathkinness KY16 9SY The Hut does not have access to a toilet (please do not ask) and has steps leading to the premises. The Hut is not well lit at night so you may wish to bring a torch and background noise from outside the hut is present during the day. Please Note - Clare is immunosuppressed and has a reduced ability to fight infections and other diseases, including COVID-19. If you feel unwell please reschedule your session or move it to online. Thank you 🌿 Mini Therapy Sessions – Support in 25 Minutes Whether you're a new client looking for a gentle first step into therapy, or a current client needing a quick check-in between sessions, my Mini Sessions offer flexible, focused support — when you need it most. These 25-minute online sessions are ideal for: Managing overwhelm or anxiety Regulating emotions on low-energy days Reconnecting with yourself or your goals Getting grounded before or after a tough situation Designed with care, neurodivergent-affirming, and accessible for all — Mini Sessions are a calm space to feel heard, supported, and empowered. 🕒 Strictly 25 minutes | Online | Low-cost 🤝 Open to new and returning clients 📅 Book your Mini Session today — small steps still count. Clients I work with : Adults, Older adults, Young people (14+) **Cancellation & Non-Attendance** **Less than 48 hours' notice:** 50% of session fee + £2 processing charge. **Less than 24hrs’ notice. **75% of session fee + £2 processing charge. **No-show without notice:** Full session fee charged. . **Late arrivals:** A 15-minute grace period is allowed. If the client does not arrive or communicate within this time, the session will be deemed unfeasible. Cancellation Policy

🌿 Therapeutic Relationship and Session Frequency To get the most from therapy, it’s important that we build a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship. For this reason, new clients are asked to attend weekly sessions. This early consistency allows me to get to know you, understand your life story and needs in context, and begin developing a clear case formulation that guides our work together. It also helps us establish safety, trust, and continuity — the foundations of effective therapy. After the initial weekly sessions, we can review your progress and decide together whether to move to fortnightly sessions or occasional monthly check-ins for ongoing support. You can reschedule your appointment by contacting empowerholistic@gmail.com or clare@empowercounselling.online at least 49hrs before your scheduled appointment. **Cancellation & Non-Attendance** **More than 48 hours' notice:** £2 processing fee. **Less than 48 hours' notice:** 50% of session fee + £2 processing charge. **Less than 24hrs’ notice. **75% of session fee + £2 processing charge. **No-show without notice:** Full session fee charged. **Discounted packages: Cancellation Policy Applies** Sessions must be used within 3 months; refunds are subject to a £2 processing charge per session at the pro-rata discounted rate. **Late arrivals:** In Person A 15-minute grace period is allowed and a 8 mins period for mini sessions. If the client does not arrive or communicate within this time, the session will be deemed unfeasible and no refund will be given. BOOKING NOTICE - When you book it will show the time in the time zone that you are in at the time of booking. So if you book when you are in Spain the booking time slot will reflect Spanish time. The Empower Counselling Hut has steps leading to the premises, please bring a torch as lighting to the Hut is variable and no toilet facilities are provided so please do not ask to avoid potential embarrassment. In the summer months the Hut can be hot. Affiliate Counsellors are self employed contractors operating with their own insurance.
