So, instead of getting the sleep I desperately needed or tackling the endless list of household chores… I ended up doing something unexpected: I made my very first song.

It’s a kind of techno-chill piece — a mix of rhythmic pulses and strange vocal textures. Not exactly radio-friendly. I am proud to say that AI was NOT used in its creation — just me, my ears and a big dash of curiosity. I read music and in my youth even played it, but this was the first time I actually composed a full piece. And though I’m still not sure I got the mix right, the intro might be too long, the verse and chorus blur together, and I completely forgot to add a bridge. I did it.

And that matters more than perfection.

What I’ve created might not be Stock, Aitken & Waterman level pop. It might not hit the charts or go viral. But it exists. I made something. Without technical training. Without knowing exactly what I was doing. Just with a willingness to try.

That’s a start. And honestly? I’m proud of it.

Next, I want to create a boppy, bubbly, bubblegum pop song, something joyful and catchy that might even get stuck in people’s heads. Especially for my fellow neurodivergent listeners, I’d love to make something they can echolalia-loop with delight. Something bright. Playful.

I’ve already designed a single cover and am in the process of uploading it to Spotify and other platforms (which is its own chaotic adventure). And sure, I don’t have formal song writing training or the “right” credentials. But I’ve got ideas. And heart. And the desire to make things that didn’t exist yesterday.

Maybe you’ve got something inside you too : a story, a song, a painting, a dream — and you’re scared to try. Maybe you think you’re not good enough, not technical enough, not ready. But here's the truth: you don’t need to wait for permission. You just need to begin.

This little song of mine isn’t just a track. It’s a reminder: You’re allowed to be messy. You’re allowed to be a beginner. You’re allowed to create.

So go do that thing .
